Peru is often considered the magic center of ancient civilization.
The land where the sun-worshiping Incas would form the largest empire in pre-Columbian America a few hundred years after their first apparition in the 15th century reserves a variety of natural wonders to all who happen to stumble on its grounds.
Follow us on our trip to get a sense of the majestic civilisations who make the story of this western South American gem. From a walk around Cusco's Plaza de Armas in the old city, with its arcades, carved wooden balconies and baroque Santo Domingo Convent, to a hike on the Machu Picchu, the finest example of an Inca citadel and one of the seven Wonders of the world.
How many have we visited so far? All I can say is the wonders I've seen seem to be many more.
